The SWS Investment Project is conducted during the fall semester in conjunction with the Seminar Series. The Investment Project is formulated with the intention to give students a practical outlet in which they can apply the skills learned throughout the seminars. Students work in teams, taking what they learn through the seminars, and go through the real-life experience of conducting research, analyzing a stock, and presenting their recommendation for a company. Their analysts and presentation includes research on industry background, market position, financial ratio analysis, operations overview, and a variety of other details regarding the company. Students present their Investment Project in front of a panel of judges at the end of the Seminar Series. The panel of judges for the 2011 Investment Project included the Fordham SWS Executive Board, Dean Rapaccioli, and industry professionals from Golden Tree Asset Management, Morgan Stanley, and New York Life.
Inquiries regarding the Investment Project should be directed to Fordham SWS at firstname.lastname@example.org.
